WEATHER REPORT

Heli-skiing in Alaska, particularly in the Chilkat Range near Haines, offers some of the world’s most exceptional experiences. The region’s unique microclimates, spanning from coastal peaks to interior terrains, provide diverse skiing conditions. Our local guides utilize resources such as SNOTEL sites and FAA weather cams to monitor conditions, but often, firsthand observation remains the most reliable method. Proximity to the Canadian border often results in colder temperatures compared to Haines town, allowing for flyable conditions even when town is unflyable. Embracing the unpredictability of Alaskan weather, we believe that being present and attuned to nature offers the most rewarding heli-skiing adventures.
